Rooted in Intention: The Farm & Found Story

When I think about why Farm & Found Co. exists, it always comes back to three simple values: reduce, reuse, recycle. They’ve been important to me for as long as I can remember—but it wasn’t until I married someone who grew up on a farm—and who still farms no matter where life takes us—that I realized how fully I could live them.

Marriage pulled me into a way of life I hadn’t known before: one where nothing goes to waste, where livestock and soil exist in a mutual rhythm, and where the seasons don’t just change the landscape but change you. Living off the land taught me that sustainability isn’t a buzzword—it’s a practice, a mindset, and a relationship with the earth itself.

Through regenerative farming, I learned how the health of the soil affects everything else—plants, animals, and people alike. By honoring natural cycles, we reduce our footprint and return nutrients to the land. By reusing materials, we discover new stories in old fabrics, jars, and scraps. By recycling—not only plastics, but also ideas, traditions, and resources—we close loops and create a fuller, more intentional way of living.

Farm & Found Co. was born out of this awakening. It’s my way of sharing what I’ve learned: that everyday choices, however small, can align with values that shape a better world. Every handmade product carries a story of where it came from, who tended it, and how it can be used again and again.

This is more than a shop—it’s an invitation. To slow down. To appreciate the seasons. To find beauty in what’s already here. And to discover that when we live with intention, our lives—and our planet—become richer for it.

With gratitude,

Katie
